I HAVE WRITTEN TO Ms SCOTT SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS AND SHE HAS BEEN KIND ENOUGH TO SIGN SEVERAL PHOTOS FOR ME. HOWEVER, GIVEN HOW THE PRESS BURNED HER DURING THE 50-60s IT COMES AS NO SURPRISE THAT SHE HAS NEVER RESPONDED TO MY INTERVIEW REQUESTS. THE MEDIA ATTACKS MADE UPON HER PERSONAL LIFE BACK THEN HAS MADE HER WARY OF TRUSTING ANYONE TO WRITE GOOD THINGS ABOUT HER AND NO ONE COULD BLAME HER. YET FOR ME SHE WILL ALWAYS BE A GREAT MOVIE STAR AND A FINE ACTRESS....LIMITED ONLY BY THE LACK OF IMAGINATION BY THE STUDIO SYSTEM DURING THOSE YEARS. HAVING SAID THAT, MOST OF Ms SCOTT'S MOVIES ARE VERY GOOD AND ENORMOUSLY ENTERTAINING & YOU ARE ALWAYS CAPTIVATED BY Ms SCOTT'S CHARACTERS. FEW ACTRESSES CREAT CHARACTERS WHO ARE AS MEMORABLE AND HOPEFULLY THE REISSUE OF MANY NOIR MOVIES ONTO DVD WILL SEE MANY NEW GENERATIONS ENJOYING THE SULTRY LIZABETH SCOTT AND HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO:
